It is Ms. Winkelman’s belief that Oriental/Asian Medicine and western medicine, used together, have the potential to heal the patient, leading to a higher quality of life. Further, Jeannette believes that supplemental care with Oriental Medicine may potentially help the healing process of patients that have not had significant success with other methods of healing. It is her philosophy to treat patients holistically, using as many approaches as necessary, to achieve the desired result of life-long health.
Jeannette has a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the Phoenix Institute of Oriental Medicine, a National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Chinese herbs and acupuncture), and is one of only about one-hundred practitioners that are certified by the NCCAOM to prescribe herbs in Arizona. Jeannette is currently a magna cum laude candidate for a Bachelor’s of Science in Education degree at Northern Arizona University.
She is a member of the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society, NCCAOM and has sat on the Assessment Board of the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. Jeannette has also done volunteer work with the Arizona Veterans Stand Down, through Arizona Veterans Acupuncture Support (AVAS).
